First-year students at Gwynedd-Mercy College spent their first day of orientation at Artman Lutheran Home, to introduce them to the College’s commitment to service. “We believe the hallmark of a Mercy education is service to the community. This is their first day and we feel that it is a good way to introduce them to our values of service,” said Mary Reilly, assistant professor and chair of the Behavioral and Social Sciences division at Gwynedd-Mercy.
The students spent the day talking with residents, playing games and pampering them with manicures. They also helped with Senior Olympics practice. Our residents are working hard to win some medals at the Senior Olympics on September 19!
