Typically, Thursdays are the kind of day where you say to yourself, “Only one more day until Friday!” But on Thursday, June 27th – Employees at Liberty’s Whitemarsh office in Ambler were happy to come to work, honored with a Staff Appreciation Lunch. The Whitemarsh office serves as the organization’s headquarters, housing about 50 positions – most of the Executive team, as well as Advancement, Finance, Human Resources and administrative support.
Employees were treated to a dress-down day and a catered lunch with delicious sandwiches, side dishes and dessert. They also received a special gift – a summer beach towel in “Liberty blue” – with a note from Liberty’s President/CEO Luanne Fisher that read: “Thank you for being a part of Liberty Lutheran and believe that by working together we can make a difference in the work. Have a wonderful summer!”
Luanne addressed the staff during lunch, explaining this event is an annual tradition at all of the Liberty offices, as a way to say “Thank You” to all of the employees who make up our organization.
“We know here at Whitemarsh how much you like to eat, so we thought lunch would be appropriate way to celebrate,” she said jokingly.
“I appreciate the work you do,” Luanne said. “You may not work directly with the people we serve, but it serves as the backbone and foundation of what we do at Liberty. It is all important,” she added.
