Liberty’s Lutheran Children and Family Service program received a glowing message from one of our supporters and we wanted to share it with you! We are deeply appreciative of our community, who generously opens it’s heart to those who need our help. THANK YOU, AnnaMarie! Please feel free share your thoughts with us too!
“I got involved with the LCFS Refugee Resettlement program because I wanted to set a good example for my kids – I wanted to show them that there’s more to life than just receiving. Once you get involved it feels good to give and help others out that are in a tough situation. This is why Alexis (Part-time LCFS staff member and Drexel Law student) and I decided to add a kids-giving component to our upcoming drive. We are so lucky to have everything that we have, and I want us – our community- to pass on whatever we can to people that are trying to restart their lives in and around Philadelphia. You hear of SO many charities, but you don’t really hear about the needs of refugees – that gets buried under many other causes. It’s hard to reach certain areas like the refugee community, so when there is a connection, and we have the goods to directly impact their needs, it makes sense to get involved and to help.”
