Sunny skies, warm temperatures and generosity marked the 30th annual Artman Golf Outing. More than 90 golfers, 20 volunteers and many friends of Artman participated in the fundraiser. The all-day event took place on May 12 at the North Hills Country Club, North Hills, PA, and featured lunch, golf (18 holes, scramble format,) skill contests, dinner and a silent auction.
The Artman Golf Outing has been a tradition for three decades, supporting Benevolent Care at the Ambler senior living community, a service of Liberty Lutheran. During that time, the event has raised almost a million dollars. This year’s Golf Outing matched last year’s success, raising approximately $42,000 for Benevolent Care at Artman.
“It’s a wonderful cause,” said David Merrick, Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, Liberty Lutheran. “Benevolent Care is for those residents who have outlived their resources. This allows them to live with the security knowing they can stay with us throughout the end of their life.”
Artman’s Executive Director, Janet Lorenzon, expressed gratitude to everyone who helped make this year’s event a success.
“It is inspiring to see the level of commitment and generosity from our golfers, volunteers, sponsors and friends year after year,” Lorenzon said.
