Former Future Residents’ Club members, Magdalena (Leni) and Rudolf (Rudy) A. are delighted that they moved to The Manor at York Town in Jamison, PA, in Bucks County during the late summer of 2021. After a relatively short waiting period on the Future Residents’ Club Waiting List, their desired two-bedroom, two bathroom and den Pennsbury apartment model became available on the first floor. They moved in after selling their home in nearby Warminster, PA.
“It’s lovely to be outside on our patio because we have a beautiful view overlooking the Courtyard, where we can enjoy looking the flowers in the garden without having all of the work of maintaining the garden at our former home,” says Leny.
Leni still works as an Accountant during tax season, and she now has a busy home office in her apartment at The Manor. She adds, “All during tax season clients are coming to see me, but it is much easier to work and manage all of their needs now, as opposed to when I had to maintain an entire house with grass to cut, and surrounding gardens to keep up.”
With her busy work schedule, Leni and Rudy have not had a great deal of time to avail themselves of all of the amenities, social and cultural events that The Manor has to offer. The couple does, however, enjoy the fact that they may use The Manor’s fabulous dining services whenever they wish.. “In the evening, if we don’t feel like cooking, it is so much simpler to dine with neighbors and friends, or to have dinner delivered to our door, to eat in our apartment, if we don’t want to go out.”
Rudy and Leni mention that “We looked around at other retirement communities in the area, but we loved the small, intimate community size of sixty-four apartments, and proximity of The Manor to the neighboring areas with which we are most familiar.” Expressing a sentiment similar to what other residents have noted, they add, “It is like living in a small boutique hotel. We love that we can go shopping and easily return to our apartment after unloading the car in our garage.”
